Family Medicine
Welcome
The Mission of the Research Division is to
promote excellence in scholarly activity, which furthers the ideals
and values of Family Medicine in the areas of research, patient
care, education, and community service, to improve the care of our
patients through the benefit of research.
The Research Division was established within
the Department of Family Medicine in 1990. Its major
responsibilities are to conduct research and provide an array of
research support services to faculty, residents, and medical
students. Our division has been awarded many grants, which have
allowed us to create a center for excellence in research.
The Research Division Faculty are involved in
collaborative research with the Institute for the Study of Health,
Department of Sociology, Department of Psychiatry, Department of
cardiology, College of Nursing, various pharmaceutical sponsors, and
the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
